Secret Life Fans: Tell us a little about your character on "The Secret Life". Will we be seeing more of him? (We hope so!)
R.J.: Hey guys it's R.J. Cantu. I play Mac on The Secret life of the American Teenager. If you're a fan of the show you probably know that Mac is starting some talk on the blogging boards across the net. The biggest questions i guessare "Who is this guy" and "Did he really hook up with Adrian". It's kinda crazy how open this show is about thewhole "SEX"issue, but I feel it's very important to talk about it.I can't say much, but it's obvious that Mac and Adrian have hooked up and have caused a major relationshipstruggle between Adrian and Ricky.You can defiantly look forward to more of Mac in the very near future.

Secret Life Fans: How do you like working on the set of "The Secret Life"? Any fun stories to share?
R.J: The cast and crew are such a blast to work with. I've already filmed a few episodes (The Slice of Life, The Secret Wedding, Summertime...) and I already feel like I'm part of the family. Brenda Hampton is such an incredible writer who has such a unique way of story telling. I mean her characters feel so real and are very believable which is very rare in the T.V. world. The first time I walked on set Brenda walked strait up to me and with a warm smile said, "Welcome". And I felt right at home. I do have a funny story to tell and a little embarrassed (lol. O god). So I'm on the set with Francia (Adrian) and we are getting ready to film our "kiss scene" in "Summertime" which by the way...I have never done a kiss scene before...EVER. I mean, you think...hey,this is gonna be cool...not everyday do you get to kiss the star of the show right? Wrong! There's like 50 people around you watching, holding the mic, the camera, director, producers...and I'm kinda freaking out. Francia looks over at me and says, "You know you can move a little closer to me in the scene right (which made sense...It's a kissing scene for crying out loud)". I look up at her and i whisper this is a first for me. She smiles and then tells the crew, "OMG, R.J. is a virgin at this!!" Of course I get teased the rest of the day, but I can happily say I am no longer a virgin at kissing scenes for prime-time Television (Ha).
Secret Life Fans: Are you friends with any of the other actors?
R.J.: The Secret Life has several story lines/plots all happening at once. Mac is right in the middle of Adrian and Ricky's teenage world. We both hit it off very quickly and both Francia (Adrian)/ Ricky (Daren) are so down to earth and were really cool to work with.I remember Francia telling me, "I play such a bi*ch on the show. I hope the fans understand it's just a character."
Secret Life Fans: It seems like you've done quite a few other projects other than "Secret Life"! What has been your favorite role and why?
R.J.: That's a great question...hmmm..."Footprints" Written and Directed by Steven Peros is an upcoming Indy filmwhich deals with ayoung woman’s journey of discovery on Hollywood Boulevard in one day, from sunrise to sunset was such a remarkable film to be a part of. There was just so much passion and talent on-set. You just felt like you were contributing to such a great piece of art. Secret Life Fans: I also see that you're a very talented magician! How cool! How did you get into that? How can fans of "The Secret Life" learn more about your amazing ability?
R.J.: LOL, yes. Been performing Magic for 15yrs. now and proud to say I'm a member of The Worlds Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood CA. Magic for me was a way to express myself as a kid growing up. I was very shy and would hate to be social. Magic helped break me outta my shell. My aunt took me to the local fair in San Antonio TX at the age of eight and low and behold there was a magician on the main stage performing some of the classics of Magic...I was hooked. Secret Life Fans: What do you think of the site, Secret Life Fans?
R.J.:The Internet is the wave of the future. Anyone who is blinded by that fact is missing the train. I think it's great that you have created a place for fans of the show to join together and express their thoughts and ideas. Congratulations with the site and I hope it continues to have great success.

wow i am impressed ! i follow rj on twitter and b he actually requested to follow me and now i just can't get enough . r.j. is so full of energy and his magic is so fresh
