DIY Projects - Secret Life Fans

Not everyone can afford to buy brand new things 24/7...but those willing to invest time in creating something new will end up with more who have the money to do so.

With these Secret Life DIY Projects, you can maximize your Secret Life joy and NOT your credit card!
Good luck & have fun.

PROJECT ONE
DIY Projects - Secret Life Fans
You'll need:
-A computer with internet access
-A printer (Preferably stocked with colored ink!)
-Scissors
-A cork board
-Tacks
-Tape
-Stickers, glitter, and items of that nature

STEP 1) Search the internet for your favorite Secret Life photos and save them to your computer. Our photo gallery is a great place to start! Get several large pictures (desktop size), twenty small ones, and as many medium sized photos as you desire.

STEP 2) Print your brand new pictures off and cut them with your scissors so no white paper shows.

STEP 3) Tape the larger photos onto your cork board as a background.

STEP 4) Arrange your smaller photos around the edges of the board to create a border and tape or tack them, your choice, into place.

STEP 5) Tack the medium sized shots all around the board. They can be messy and scattered, or neat and organized by episode. Do it your way...SLF is all about being your-SLF anyway!

Step 6) Add anything else you want to the collage. Things like stickers and glitter are craft supplies you might have in your junk drawer. If worse comes to worse, you can always purchase these items at your local Target or Family Dollar for a good price and still keep your cash in your wallet.

PROJECT 2
DIY Projects - Secret Life Fans
You'll need:
-A plain tote bag. You can use the one you have, or you can try purchasing this one for 3 bucks!
-Puffy paint
-Glitter
-Glue
-Ribbon
-Sequins, "jewels", and things of that nature
-Needle & thread
-Piece of cardboard
-Table
-Newspaper
-Old extra-large shirt

STEP 1) Put newspaper all over the table that you plan to use. You don't want to get puffy paint on anything!

STEP 2) Put on your larger sized T to cover the clothing you are wearing and protect it from a messy paint disaster.

STEP 3) Place your piece of cardboard inside your tote bag, creating a way to make your writing smooth.

STEP 4) With the bag on the newspaper covered table, use your puffy paint to begin your design. You might want to add words like "I Love SLF!" (Can you blame us for being optimistic?) or you might just choose to write your name. Hopefully it's short like Amy's and not long like mine!

STEP 5) Adding a little glue to your bag, you can sprinkle some glitter over your new accessory.

STEP 6) We'll do the handles next. Stitch your pieces of ribbon over the handles for a pretty way to carry your tote. You don't have to do an excellent sewing job. As long as it doesn't look messy, you'll be fine.

STEP 7) Add on anything else you wish. It's your time to spice up your tote.

STEP 8) Carry with pride! You now have an Amy tote bag.
