| Character's backstory: Grace Bowman is a devoted Christian. She wears a promise ring that shows symbolizing her desire to wait until marriage for sex. She is the head cheerleader, and is very perky and bubbly, sometimes ending up as annoying. She has an on again off again relationship with football playing Jack. She becomes involved with Ricky, though she fails to realize his ulterior motives. When she finds out about Ricky's child, she says "I won't let anything bad happen to your baby." She and Ricky end up going to the clinic where Amy is to stop her from having an abortion. Grace changes a lot when her father dies, but she is still a strong character with big ideas.
