Character's backstory: Anne is Amy's concerned mother who insists that her two daughters should have fun, because they are "only young once." She married when she was only 18 after her husband’s first marriage failed, and sometimes wonders if she rushed marriage. She got married at 18 because she was pregnant with Amy at the time. She and her husband have been fighting and she wonders why her husband is always coming home late from work. Soon after, she asks her husband to leave, for at least a while. When Amy tells her of the pregnancy first she doesn't believe her but eventually does. From finding out about her daughter’s pregnancy she tells Amy about how she was pregnant at a young age and lied about her marriage. She later dated David and gave birth to a baby boy, claiming it to be George's and they mended their relationship.
